1.Prof. Dr. Cesare Alippi

Cesare Alippi, born in beautiful Lecco on the Como lake, Italy, received a degree in electronic engineering cum laude in 1990 and a Ph.D. in 1995 from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Currently, he is a Professor with the Politecnico di Milano, Milano, Italy and Università della Svizzera italiana, Lugano, Switzerland. Currently, he is a visiting professor at the University of Kobe, Japan, and the University of Guangzhou, China. He has been a visiting researcher at UCL (UK), MIT (USA), ESPCI (F), CASIA (RC), A*STAR (SIN).

Alippi is an IEEE Fellow, Member of the Administrative Committee of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Board of Governors member of the International Neural Network Society, Board of Directors member of the European Neural Network Society, Past Vice-President education of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, past associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in computational intelligence, the IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine, the IEEE-Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurements, the IEEE-Transactions on Neural Networks. In 2018 he received IEEE CIS Outstanding Computational Intelligence Magazine Award, the 2016 Gabor award from the International Neural Networks Society, and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Outstanding Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems Paper Award; in 2013 the IBM Faculty award; in 2004 the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Young Engineer Award.

Current research activity addresses adaptation and learning in non-stationary environments and Intelligence for embedded and cyber-physical systems. He holds 8 patents, has published one monograph book, 6 edited books and about 200 papers in international journals and conference proceedings.

 

2.Prof. Dr. Ahmed J. Obaid (University of Kufa)

Ahmed J. Obaid, is a full assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics, University of Kufa, He received his BSC in Information Systems (IS) in 2005, from the faculty of computer science, the University of Anbar in 2005. M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from SIT, JNTUH, India in 2012, and Ph.D. in Web Mining and Data Mining from the University of Babylon in 2017.  His main line of research is Web mining Techniques and Applications, Image processing in the Web Platforms, Image processing, Genetic Algorithm, and information theory. Ahmed J. Obaid is an Associated Editor in Brazilian Journal of Operations & Production Management (ESCI), Guest Editor in KEM (Key Engineering Material, Scopus) Journal, Guest Editor of MAICT-19 and ICMAICT-20 issues in IOP Journal of Physics, Scopus indexed proceeding. Guest Editor in JESTEC journal (Scopus, WOS) Journal, Managing Editor in American Journal of Business and Operations Research (AJBOR), USA. Associate Editor in IJAST Scopus Journal. Ahmed J. Obaid is also a Reviewer in many Scopus Journals (Scientific publication, Taylor and Francis, ESTA, and many others). He is the leader of ICOITES, MAICT-19, MAICT-20 EVENTS. Ahmed J. Obaid has supervised several final projects of Bachelor and Master in His main line of work. He has edited Some books, such as Advance Material Science and Engineering in Scientific.net publisher, he has authored and co-authored several scientific publications in journals and conferences and is a frequent reviewer of international journals and international conferences.

 

3.Dr. Tanushyam Chattopadhyay (Principal Scientist at TCS Manufacturing Business Group – Practice)

Dr. Tanushyam Chattopadhyay is currently working as a Principal Scientist at TCS Manufacturing Business Group – Practice, CTO, Strategic Initiative to deploy analytics on IoT platform. He was awarded the University Gold medal in MCA from Shibpur IIEST (the then DU) in 2002. He started his career as research at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, and later on, joined Tata Consultancy Services Limited in 2004. Later he was awarded a Ph.D. degree from Jadavpur University for the work done at ISI, Kolkata, in 2012. He had training on Speech Signal processing from IISC Bangalore, image processing from IIT Kharagpur, and video processing from IIT Delhi. Also attended a course on Deep Learning from Turing award winner Prof. Bengio in 2015. He has 68 patents got granted across the globe. He also authored a book and some book chapters. He has published nearly 60+ papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is a member of the International Machine Learning Society. Serving as a member of the Board of Governor of several academic institutions. He has delivered tutorials/ keynote addresses and served as reviewer/Technical Program Chair/Session chair in a number of international conferences and journals. His current research is evolved around developing analytics solutions for different client requirements on top of a TCS-built IoT platform namely TCS Connected Universe Platform (TCUP). He was awarded many awards in his academic and professional life.

 

4. Prof. Meike Jipp

Meike Jipp is a professor of “Human Factors in Transportation” at the Faculty of Life Sciences of the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany). She is currently on leave to be head of the Human-Factors Department and acting head of the Testing Department. Both departments are part of the Institute of Transportation Systems at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).

In her research, Meike Jipp concentrates on improving the cooperation between humans and technology in ground-based transportation: How can automotive systems, public transportation systems, and railway systems be developed and designed so that human mobility is safe, efficient, and comfortable? How can the job profiles of those guiding traffic be designed so that they foster human development? Meike Jipp pursues empirical research regarding human performance potential, human state recognition, and prediction, cooperation patterns of different traffic participants as well as acceptance and usage of transport services. In this context, she also manages projects financed by industry, the German Research Foundation (DFG), and public authorities.

Meike Jipp studied psychology at Mannheim University (Germany) and Carleton University (Canada). After she has received her Ph.D. in 2008, she expanded her research portfolio as a postdoctoral research fellow at Mannheim University. In 2010, she became part of the Institute of Flight Guidance at DLR and investigated the effects of cognitive abilities on human-technology-interaction as a project manager. Another focus of her research was on skill acquisition. Early in 2014, she assumed the responsibility of the group “Driver Cognition and Modelling” at the DLR Institute of Transportation Systems. At the same institute, she became head of the Human-Factors Department in 2015 and, additionally, acting head of the Testing Department in 2017. In parallel to her head-of-the-department position, she became an associate professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences at the Technical University of Braunschweig in 2017.

Meike Jipp authored more than 100 journal articles and peer-reviewed papers in international conference proceedings. She is head of the Thematic Group “Safety” of the European Conference of Transportation Research Institutes (ECTRI) and a member of the commission “Coaction of Natural and Artificial Intelligence” of the Scientific Society of Braunschweig (BWG). Moreover, she is appointed a member of the Reactor Safety Commission of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) of Germany and a member of the German Psychological Society (DGPs), the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), and the Technical Committee on Human-Machine Systems of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

 

5.Prof. Dr. Mufti Mahmud (Nottingham Trent University, UK)

MUFTI MAHMUD (Senior Member, IEEE) received a PhD degree in information engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2011. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Computer Science with Nottingham Trent University, UK. He is a recipient of the Vice-Chancellors outstanding research award 2020 at the NTU and he was also a recipient of the Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2013. With over 18 years of experience in the industry and academia in India, Bangladesh, Italy, Belgium, and the UK, Dr Mahmud is an expert in computational intelligence, applied data analysis, and big data technologies with a keen focus on healthcare applications. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed articles and papers in leading journals and conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, a Professional Member of the British Computer Society, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, the U.K. During the year 2020-2021, he has been serving as the Vice-Chair of the Intelligent System Application and Brain Informatics Technical Committees of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), a member of the IEEE CIS Task Force on Intelligence Systems for Health, an advisor of the IEEE R8 Humanitarian Activities Subcommittee, the Publications Chair of the IEEE UK and Ireland Industry Applications Chapter, and the Project Liaison Officer of the IEEE UK and Ireland SIGHT Committee. He has also served as the coordinating chair of the local organization of the IEEE-WCCI2020; the General Chair of BI2020, 2021 and AII2021; and the Program Chair of IEEE-CICARE2020 and 2021. He serves as a Section Editor (Big Data Analytics) for the Cognitive Computation journal, an associate editor of the Frontiers in Neuroscience, and Big Data Analytics journals, and a Regional Editor (Europe) for the Brain Informatics journal.

6.Prof. Dr. Panagiotis Sarigiannidis (University of Western Macedonia, Kozani, Greece)
Prof. Panagiotis Sarigiannidis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the University of Western Macedonia, Kozani, Greece since 2016. He received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2001 and 2007, respectively. He has published over 200 papers in international journals, conferences and book chapters, including IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Internet of Things, IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, IEEE/OSA Journal of Lightwave Technology, IEEE Access, and Computer Networks. He has been involved in several national, European and international projects. He is currently the project coordinator of three H2020 projects, namely a) H2020-DS-SC7-2017 (DS-07-2017), SPEAR: Secure and Private smart grid, b) H2020-LC-SC3-EE-2020-1 (LC-SC3-EC-4-2020), EVIDENT: behavioral Insights and Effective energy policy action’s, and c) H2020-ICT-2020-1 (ICT-56-2020), TERMINET: NeXT generation smart Interconnected ioT, while he coordinates the Operational Program MARS: smart farming with drones (Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation) and the Erasmus+ KA2 ARRANGE-ICT: Smart ROOT: Smart farming innovation Training. He also serves as a principal investigator in the H2020-SU-DS-2018 (SU-DS04-2018), SDN-micro SENSE: SDN-microgrid resilient Electrical energy System and in three Erasmus+ KA2: a) ARRANGE-ICT: partnership for Addressing megatrends in ICT, b) JAUNTY: Joint under graduate courses for smart energy management systems, and c) STRONG: advanced first Responders training (Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices). His research interests include telecommunication networks, internet of things and network security. He is an IEEE member and participates in the Editorial Boards of various journals, including International Journal of Communication Systems and EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking.

7.Prof. Dr. M Shamim Kaisar (Institute of Information Technology of Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh)

Dr. M  Shamim Kaiser is currently working as a Professor at the Institute of Information Technology of Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka-1342, Bangladesh. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Applied Physics Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2002 and 2004 respectively, and the Ph. D. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Pathumthani, Thailand, in 2010. He did his postdoctoral research at Big data and Cyber Security Lab of Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He also worked as a Special Research Student at the Wireless Signal Processing and Networking Lab (Adachi Lab) of Tohoku University, Japan.  His current research interests include Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Wireless Network & Signal processing, Cognitive Radio networks, Big IoT data, Healthcare, Neuro informatics and Cyber Security. He has authored more than 130 papers in different peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

He is an Associate Editor of the Cognitive Computation Journal, Guest Editor of Brain Informatics Journal, IJACI (IGI Global), Electronics MDPI, Frontiers in Neuro informatics, and Cognitive Computation Journal. Dr. Kaiser is a Life Member of Bangladesh Electronic Society; Bangladesh Physical Society. He is also a senior member of IEEE, USA and IEICE, Japan, and an active volunteer of the IEEE Bangladesh Section. He is the founding Chapter Chair of the IEEE Bangladesh Section Computer Society Chapter.

8. Dr. Leo Mrsic (Algebra University College, Croatia)

Assistant Professor Leo Mršić, born in Zagreb, graduated in 1997 (BBA), in 2005 (MSc) on Faculty of Economics an Business; in 2012 (PhD) on Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He has been appointed Assistant Professor 2018. Vice-Dean for Research and Development and Head of the Department of Data Analysis at the Algebra University College, active as a lecturer at the eLeadership MBA study. Permanent court expert witness in finance, accounting and information technology areas. With over 20 years of team leadership experience, he has been involved in launching three start-up initiatives. He participated in several domestic and international conferences, with research related to various aspects of business (business efficiency analysis, digital data and marketing, decision support systems, organization optimization, advanced business analytics, business risk management). Co-author and contributor on several books, scientific and professional papers. Member of the Croatian Society of Court Experts (HDSVIP), Member of the Board of the Editor in the Global Journal of Technology and Optimization (GJTO), Member of the International Board of Advisors at the International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering (IJEOE), Reviewer with Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Intelligent Decision Technologies: An International Journal (IOS Press) and a Member of program committees at several international conferences and special editions.
